Pivots

The traditionally styled Sheerframe pivot window features a rebate between outer frame and pivoting frame to achieve optimum weather performance.

Designed to be hinged either horizontally or vertically, the traditional pivot is ideal as a replacement for timber or aluminium pivots in office, hotel and residential blocks, as well as for newbuild applications and is internally glazed for security.

Sheerframe standard pivot windows are compatible with other Sheerframe window, door and curtain walling systems.

Lead free PVC profile composition

Sections extruded from Sheerblend impact modified PVC complying with BS EN 12608.

Smooth surface in white, woodgrain or colours with sightlines to match traditional pivot styling.

Size options

Windows are manufactured to customer specification. Maximum recommended sizes for individual opening lights are 1500mmW x 1500mmH, although larger sizes are possible. For all queries regarding size, range, design and function contact L.B Plastics' Specifier Support Department.

Window fittings and hardware

The hinge mechanism has a built in child restrictor and allows 180 degree movement. The hinges have friction adjustments for both control and balance and can incorporate safety restrictors, which operate when the window is in the fully reversed position.The windows lock along the bottom and top rails through a perimeter gearing system.

Maintenance of windows

Espagnolette and shoot bolt mechanisms should be kept free of debris and sprayed with a lubricant/protective coating at six monthly intervals.
